Cannon Hinnant Death | Cannon Hinnant Obituary – Cannon Hinnant, 5, of Wilson was shot and killed on Sunday, 9th of August 2020. Police responded to a reported shooting at 5100 Archers Road in the Windemere Mobile Home Park at 5:33 p.m. and found Cannon Hinnant suffering from a gunshot wound, according to officials. Officers and Wilson County EMS medics performed emergency first aid and Cannon was rushed to Wilson Medical Center. Cannon Hinnant died from the gunshot injury.
According to news release, Stroud said the suspect in the killing, Darius Nathaniel Sessoms, 25, has not been arrested. Police said Sessoms whereabouts is still unknown at this time. Sessoms is wanted on a first-degree murder charge in Cannon’s death. In review of reports made by TheWilsonTimes, Sessoms was last seen operating a black 2019 Toyota Corolla with North Carolina license plate TCH-2773. Police said Sunday night, 9th of August 2020, the sedan’s front bumper is missing. After releasing an initial image of the suspect vehicle, police released a second surveillance photo showing the car’s front end and passenger side early Monday.
