Sandra Sarantis Death | Sandra Sarantis Obituary – Sandra Sarantis who was a nurse at Novant Health Huntersville has died of COVID-19. According to her obituary, she died after she “fought a courageous and valiant battle” against the virus she worked on the frontlines to treat in others. Sandra Sarantis “was truly an angel on Earth and had a way of making everyone she met feel special and loved,” her obituary from James Funeral Home in Huntersville read. “As a truly remarkable nurse, Sandy’s calling was to help and care for people and even though she was fearful of the virus, she would not let that paralyze her and continued to help her patients as she felt suffocated in the (personal protective equipment).”
Her family has stated that they will offer $1,000 and $500 scholarships in her honor annually to dependents of Novant Health workers pursuing higher education in nursing or other medical fields, teaching and school counseling, social work or law enforcement. We extend our condolences.
