Courtney Nicole Brown Death – The Logan County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed and released the identity of the woman who died after a fatal mobile crash near Crawley Creek Dip on U.S 119. on Monday, August 10 as 24-year-old Courtney Nicole Brown, of Cassick Street in Logan.

The authorities reports that at 9.46 p.m on Monday, a 911 call was received on a report of a motor accident and they swiftly responded to the scene.

Upon their arrival to the scene, they found parts and personal belongings on the right side of the road of Crawley Dip on U.S. 119 northbound.

On left side of the road, police found Brown  already dead. Her identity was revealed through her driver’s license.

The identity of the other vehicle that hit Brown was released as Phillip Workman, 26, of Six Mile Road near Danville. According to the police, Workman was traveling in  a silver 2005 Hyundai Sonata and  was on his way home after leaving his job at Arby’s at the Fountain Place Mall.

During his interview, Workman said he was in the right lane driving at about 70 mph and could not see anybody on the four-lane. He said Brown came across the median on the left side of the road and ran out in front of him.

He pulled off the side of the road and called 911 after the incident.

Investigation is ongoing although the police says the death appears to be an accident.
