Blessed to have experienced Ashley Tannehill. I’ll never forget her smile, humor (and precision!). Such a loss for Alpha Chapter and Howard.
Gone but not forgotten.

I have been on a roller coaster of emotion this week. Damn life is short. God bless friends and fellow Bison that passed, Will Worley and Ashley Tannehill. These two bring beacons if love were taken from us this week and I can only cling to faith that God has a plan for us all.

Started the day laughing at my BD’s bad decisions to now feeling total shock and confusion
Finding out Ashley Tannehill has passed is mindblowing. The most energetic, friendly person I knew in high school

Ashley Tannehill was my boo! I remember she was pledging AKA and I guess one of her Prophytes told her she needed some head phones and she begged me for them damn headphones and never gave them back. I was so pissed but when she crossed finally she was so happy and thanked me

RIP Ashley Tannehill. She was always upbeat and positive even when I was being a jerk. God had to take an angel back

I didn’t know Ashley Tannehill very well either. I would see her casually on campus and we acknowledged one other. She was always smiling, and she was always kind to me. ♥️?

I have been inconsolable since I got the news of Tannehill’s death this morning. Ashley was one of my first friends at Howard, she lit up any room she walked into with her boundless energy. I still hear your “Forever I love Atlanta” ringtone that was your alarm on your phone in my head. From freshmen year shenanigans in club UGL to holding court in the cafe. From late night study sessions in your dorm room to that early morning call making sure you were up and ready for our commencement ceremony on graduation day. From roaming the streets of Greenville, SC the weekend of Tiffany (Bright) Hughes’ wedding to catching up with you just 2 months ago. You will forever be in my heart and your voice and that laugh in my head. This pain of losing you is deep. The class of 2010 has had a hard week. She is the second classmate of ours who has passed away within 4 days. Pray for us because we are not ok.
Ashley Tannehill and Will Worley you both made the world a little brighter. Thank you for gracing me with your presence at Howard when we were all there together. My heart hurts, but today I truly understand the meaning of the good die young. God 2020 I’m speechless. My words are minimal… Rest in power and you will be dearly missed.Sucks to have to come with yet another sad update. I don’t even really have the words. I’ve known you since pre-k with Robin Jennings (Robin Smith at Ben Hill. When I was Mr. Tri-Cities you were Miss Grady and we thought that we were poppin. We went to Howard together. We threw Howard’s first senior week. You were at my birthday parties. You came to my show. So much history, so much unconditional love. Will miss you much Ashley Tannehill
. We lost another incredible light. Tell your homies that you love them. Today.
In less than one week, I’ve received news that HU Classmates Will Worley and Ashley Tannehill have both passed away. Both of them had amazing personalities and the ability to bring smiles and joy into every room they entered. I can only hope that this news is not true …It is apparent that 2020 has no mercy. I know that many of us will need to reconcile ourselves with the grief, annxiety, depression, and confusion that these times have given us. Please remember that mental wellness is important. Seek professional counseling if you need it and try not to internalize your emotions and feelings. We are going through a lot and I’m it’s ok to “not be ok”, if even for a moment. There is strength in recovery. Two classmates in 4 days, I have no words. My first friend at Howard and neighbor in Drew Hall
Will Worley and my ATL hometown homie who could light any room she walked in Ashley Tannehill. These untimely passings are weighing on so many of us…. we will miss the both of you dearly. Pray for Howard University, the Class of 2010, and all of the friends and families grieving during this time. This is unreal. RIP Will & AshleyI never thought I would receive the news that my high school mentee, our little ray of sunshine here on earth, fellow Atlantan, and one of my absolute favorite Daughters of Howard University, Ashley Tannehill (3-A-09), is now an Ivy Beyond the Wall. Losing a friend hurts, but when they were also your mentee and younger than you, it REALLY hurts. Ashley, this world did not deserve you. You are already sorely missed by so many people. You touched so many lives. You may leave a tribute, prayers and condolences or express your concern over Ashley’s death using the comment section below.
