John Craig Death | John Craig Obituary – John Craig sadly passed away, John was an amazing person he contributed greatly to his community and country he will be greatly missed.
Very sad to hear of the death of John Craig, my first ever senior captain @WHCC1905 who gave me my debut as a 12 year old way back in 1991. A genuinely lovely man who always played the game in the right spirit. It’s people like him who make grass roots cricket what it is.

I remember travelling to an away game with him and picking up a new player on the way. John asked him ‘what do you do’ to which he replied ‘I work in IT’, I mean ‘do you bat or bowl’ asked John, to which came the immortal reply ‘Oh, I don’t really play cricket’….
