Alan Welsh Death | Alan Welsh Obituary – Alan Welsh has been pronounced dead in a tweet made on the 17th of August 2020 by Millwall FC (@MillwallFC). Alan was prolific in reserve team football and found it difficult to break into a fast-improving Millwall first-team. With just five starts to his name and his way to progress at The Den barred, he left to sign for Torquay United in November 1967.
Alan was a talented inside-forward and a typical ball-playing Scot. Alan Welsh an Edinburgh-born joined Millwall in the summer of 1965 from Scottish junior club Bonnyrigg Rose, the same place which provided Millwall with Alan’s future brother-in-law and established Lion, Billy Neil.
