Cpl Dean Corbett Death | Cpl Dean Corbett Obituary – 32 years old Cpl Corbett a former soldier who served alongside murdered Lee Rigby and carried his coffin at his funeral has passed away. Cpl Corbett, who served alongside Drummer Rigby as a Fusilier with 2nd Battalion, the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, was found dead at his flat in Urmston, Trafford, on Sunday, 16th of August 2020. Cpl Corbett’s family said he had a ‘history of untreated mental illness’ which deteriorated after he left the Army in 2017.
According to MachesterEveningNews, Cpl Corbett, known to military mates by the nickname ‘Ronnie’, finished an operational tour of Afghanistan in 2009. He was deployed on major exercises in Kenya in 2011 and Jordan in 2013, and had also completed ceremonial duties in London. Reports says that his death was not being treated as suspicious. Tributes are being paid to much-loved dad Dean Corbett, a corporal in the Army. A fundraiser account have been created to help his family. We extend our condolences.
