Nadir Salifov Death – The police have confirmed the death of the Azeri mafia boss and leader of the “Lotu Guli group” Nadir Salifov, who was shot to death on late Wednesday, August 19 by his close friend over a dinner at a hotel in the southern province of Antalya.
Salifov, led a criminal organization operating in Russia and the former Soviet countries.

The police reports that Salifov was shot in the head at the dinner table. He was rushed to the hospital but died en route.
Before his death, Salifov who was directing fruit and vegetable trade in the former Soviet countries, was imprisoned in Azerbaijan before he came to Turkey.
He was deported in 2018 and he entered Turkey through illegal means, says officials.
The murder suspect was accosted by the police when on the run. He was detained at a security check on a highway to Denizli province and the police has kept his name anonymous
Media reports have it that Salifov’s death may be linked to a Russia mafia group and its boss known as Guram Chikladze.
According to report Chikladze was stabbed in November 2019 by Salifov’s group in Instanbul, so this may be a revenge.
Chikladze with his 16 men were detained in Feb 2 this year by the Turkish police.
The investigation is still active.
