Faris Iskandar Mohd Radhi Death – Hulu Terengganu District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Mohd Adli Mat Daut has confirmed the sad incident that took the life of a teenager while he was out on a picnic with family and friends on Thursday, August 20. The incident has left his family in shock and devastated.
The police reports that 19-year-old Faris Iskandar Mohd Radhi drowned to death during a picnic in Sungai Kelemin, Felda Mengkawang, Hulu Terengganu, while he was trying to save his neighbors Mohd Thaqiff Harry Mohd Fadhil, 11, and Mohd Fakhri Mohd Nor, 28, who were almost drowning in the water.

According to the deceased father, Mohd Radhi Kamaruddin, 49, said while he was resting with the victim, they suddenly noticed that their neighbors were having trouble in the water. Faris jumped into the water to help them. He was able to bring the 11-year-old to shore and jumped back to get the 28-year-old but had difficulty in water and went underwater. The 28-year-old was later brought to shore safely.
The search and rescue (SAR) team immediately arrived on the scene and a search for Faris was launched.
The search was carried out by the firefighters and help of villagers. Faris’ body was located by his father at 7.33 p.m, says the police.
His remains was taken to Hulu Terengganu Hospital for autopsy, says the police.
