Ottawa River Death – The Ontario Provincial Police officers have confirmed that a 71-year-old man is believed to have drowned on Sunday, August 23 after he was tracked to a marina on the Ottawa River in Clarence-Rockland.
According to Russell County OPP, they were asked at 5.00 p.m on Sunday by Ottawa police to assist in the search for the elderly man.

Upon their arrival to the marina, the man was located by the OPP in the river, but when one officer jumped into the water to rescue the man, he couldn’t find him. The OPP’s underwater search and recovery unit was on the scene Sunday to assist in the search.
The search and investigation is still active.
