Addrianna Christianson Death – On Monday, August 3, the Madison police confirmed the identity of a homicide victim whose death occurred on Thursday, July 30 as 13-year-old Addrianna Christianson.

The suspect of the homicide has been identified as 44-year-old Travis M. Christianson, the victim’s father. Travis has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the stabbing death of his daughter on Thursday July 30 in the family’s home on the city’s Southwest Side. He also faces a tentative charge of attempted first-degree intentional homicide for an alleged attack on another person in the home.

He is scheduled to appear in the court on Tuesday, August 4, says the Dane County District Attorney’s office.

On Thursday night, the police were called on a report of a stabbing incident of a single-family residence in the 3000 block of Dorchester Way.

Upon the officers arrival, the first officer who arrived the residence met Travis leaving the home at 9 p .m and ordered him to the ground but Travis kept advancing, so the officer shot Travis with a Taser to keep him down.

The decease, Addrianna would have been an eighth-grader at Savanna Oaks Middle School in the Verona School District, says the district spokeswoman Raechelle Belli.

In Belli’s words, she said, “We are deeply saddened by this event and send our deepest sympathies to her family during this difficult time. We are reaching out to students, families and staff with support services to deal with grief.”

The suspect, Travis, worked as a custodian for the district at Glacier Edge Elementary and has been placed on administrative leave, says Belli.

According to the online court records, Travis Christianson has no prior criminal record in Wisconsin.

Addrianna Christianson’s death is recorded as the eighth homicide in Madison this year. There were four homicides in the in the year 2019.
