Alex Richards Death – A Hubbardston man has lost his life after being involved in a fatal accident at Crystal Motor Speedway around 4:51 a.m on Sunday, July 26, according to the Troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Lakeview Post.
The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Alex Richards.

According to the investigators, three occupants were riding in the open back of an SUV passenger vehicle in a public area of Crystal Motor Speedway before being thrown out from the vehicle as it accelerated.
Richards one of the occupants riding in the open back of the vehicle, died as a result of injuries sustained after being ejected from the moving vehicle.
Another victim, a 26-year-old Vestaburg man also suffered serious injuries and had to be transported to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing by Aero Med medical helicopter. The third victim ejected, a 25-year-old Sheridan woman, did not sustain any injury. Another occupant, a 30-year-old Ionia woman riding in the front passenger seat of the vehicle was not also injured.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as a 30-year-old Ionia man, was arrested following the incident for operating while intoxicated causing death and lodged at the Montcalm County Jail pending arraignment.
The incident remains under investigation.
