Andrew Inskeep Death – The authorities have released the identity of the body of the youth pastor who drowned in Hood River during a church outing on Wednesday, August 5, as 44-year-old Andrew Inskeep, of Ridgefield, Washington.

At 6.53 p.m on Wednesday, the emergency crew responded to the scene after a 911 call on distress swimmers.

Upon their arrival, deputies reported that 2 people were not accounted for; the youth pastor and an 11-year-old boy.

A multi-agency search and rescue operation was launched, says the police.

The juvenile was found at 7.38 p.m on Wednesday, in the mouth of the White Salmon River. He was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

The identity of the juvenile was not released.

The youth pastor’s body was found on Thursday evening, August 6 at 6.30 p.m after a stretched search for him on Wednesday.

Inskeep’s body was discovered in the Columbia River near milepost 54 on Highway 14, says Skamania County Sheriff’s Office.

Before his demise, Inskeep was a youth pastor with the Ridgefield Church of the Nazarene. He had come to Hood River as part of a church outing for youths. He was with 18 children and adults.

The juvenile who died was also a member of the youth group.

In a release made by the sheriff’s office, the office says, “The Hood River County Sheriff’s Office and community of Hood River mourns with the Ridgefield community over the tragic loss of these two people.”
