Andrew Thorson Death / Obituary – We learnt that a great District officials, Andrew Thorson was pronounced dead, following an anaphylactic reaction to multiple wasp stings at their farm on August 15, 2020.
Andrew Thorson passed away at the of 38, causing so much heartbreak and agony to the beloved family. Our prayers, thoughts condolences are with the loved ones of the deceased for the great loss. Dear Lourdes Alumni Community:It is with great sadness that we reach out to you today with news that is impacting one of our own. Heather Thorson, Lourdes Academy Enrollment Coordinator, lost her 38-year-old husband, Andrew, yesterday after a two-week battle following an anaphylactic reaction to multiple wasp stings at their farm. He leaves behind Heather and their four young daughters between the ages of 2 and 11, three of whom are enrolled at our Lourdes Academy schools.Coincidentally, Andrew died on the feast of the Assumption, August 15. From the Vatican, the Pope said while celebrating the feast day, that the Assumption “gives us hope that we are precious, destined to rise again. God does not allow our bodies to vanish into nothing. With God, nothing is lost!”And while we are sure that Andrew is in the arms of the Lord right now, to Heather and the girls, Andrew is lost. But we are here to support them as a faith-filled community in prayer. Today, we ask that you lift the Thorson family up in prayer – in your homes, in your parishes, your schools and your communities. Pray for healing, for comfort, for peace and for the hope that the Pope says the Assumption provides for us and for Heather and her girls who have lost a spouse and father this weekend. Here is a powerful novena prayer for the Assumption that you can pray:Mary, Queen Assumed into Heaven, I rejoice that after years of heroic martyrdom on earth, you have at last been taken to the throne prepared for you in heaven by the Holy Trinity.Lift my heart with you in the glory of your Assumption above the dreadful touch of sin and impurity. Teach me how small earth becomes when viewed from heaven. Make me realize that death is the triumphant gate through which I shall pass to your Son, and that someday my body shall rejoin my soul in the unending bliss of heaven.From this earth, over which I tread as a pilgrim, I look to you for help. I ask for this favor: Please watch over Heather and her four girls and cradle them with your motherly comfort in this time of need.When my hour of death has come, lead me safely to the presence of Jesus to enjoy the vision of my God for all eternity together with you.
