Anthony Kender Death | Anthony Kender Obituary – Anthony Kender, 32, drowned while fishing on Lake Quinsigamond on Wednesday, 5th of August 2020. He was out fishing with a relative in Worcester on Wednesday, Anthony Kender’s cousin; Eric Plikunas said. Police officials in Worcester confirmed earlier in the day that Anthony Kender drowned in Lake Quinsigamond. Plikunas said Kender was fishing on the lake with his brother, Kender’s other cousin, who had tried to rescue Kender after he lost his footing and fell into the deeper part of the lake. Plikunas said his brother dove in after him.
According to MassLive, Kender went into water sometime around 3:30 p.m. near Plantation Street and did not come back out, according to police. Worcester Fire Department divers went into the water shortly thereafter and pulled the man from under the water, authorities said. The man was unconscious. Kender was rushed to UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after divers recovered him.
