Antonio Ramirez Jr. Death – The authorities have released the identity of a man who was killed after a fatal head-on at Mission Drive and Alamo Pintado Road in Solvang on Friday, August 7 as 42-year-old Antonio Ramirez Jr., of Santa Barbara.
This release was made on Tuesday, August 11.

The sheriff’s spokeswoman Raquel Zick, reports that Ramirez died after his 014 Ford C-Max sedan collided with a 2014 Ford F-350 truck shortly after 9 a.m.
The decease was traveling eastbound on Highway 246 when, he drove his vehicle into opposing traffic, for unknown reasons, and into the path of the Ford truck. The truck driver has been identified as Steve Holmlund, 63, of Santa Ynez.
Upon the arrival of the officers, they found Ramirez trapped in the vehicle. He was extricated from the C-Max by a division chief and two engines.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck, Holmlund sustained minor injuries.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Keith Rogers, a factor for the collision may have been alcohol.
