Antonio Scott Death – The authorities have confirmed the death of 23-year-old Antonio Scott, of Mobile, Alabama, who drowned while swimming with friends in a lake in Mount Rainier National Park on Monday, August 17.

Scott till death was a specialist in the 42nd Military Police Brigade at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, says the authority. He was a traffic management collision investigator in the 51st Military Police Detachment. He was enlisted in the Army in January 2017 and has been at JBLM since his graduation from Military Police One Station Unit Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, says JBLM.

According to the park officials report, Scott was swimming across the lake when he suddenly started having trouble in the water. His friends tried to help him but he went under water and never resurfaced, says the park spokeswoman Patricia Wold.

The search for Scott was launched immediately by the emergency service and his body was found at noon on Monday.

Commander of the 51st Military Police Detachment Capt. Michael Mathews, said Scott’s impact was felt across the unit and that his smile will always be remembered.

During his service, Scott was awarded two Army Achievement Medals and the Army Good Conduct Medal.

According to JBLM officials, they described  Scott as a consummate professional.
