Isom Homer Death
A man who was identified by his family as 21-year-old Isom Homer has been shot and killed late Sunday night, according to reports.
Officials found Homer inside an SUV, in the driver’s seat with a gunshot wound. He had reportedly crashed his SUV into a Gulf Bank building after being shot in the Northside.
Police responded to 5833 West Gulf Bank Road to reports of a shooting. Investigating officers found a car had crashed into a dry cleaning business. Homer who was sitting in the driver’s seat had been shot.
Homer likely tried to speed away after being shot and he crashed into the business. Police believe the shooting happened in the middle of the street as the driver was headed south.
Homer’s family said this was the third time he had been shot. He was a father of five children.
The suspect fled the scene after the shooting and police don’t have leads about their identity.
