Ausarmaat Rahotep Death – The identity of the man who was shot to death in New Bedford on Tuesday night, August 11, has been released by the New Bedford Police as 41-year-old Ausarmaat Rahotep of New Bedford.
This release was made on Wednesday, August 12, by the police.

According to New Bedford police, before 10.00 p.m on Tuesday, they responded to a report of a shooting near 139 Dartmouth St..
Upon the arrival of the officers and paramedics, they located Rahotep outside the address, says the office of Bristol District Attorney Thomas Quinn III.
Rahotep was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later succumbed to his injuries at 10:16 p.m.
An autopsy will be conducted on him by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
