Austin Reid Arrington Death – The authorities have confirmed the death of a traffic-control worker on a utilities project who died on Thursday, August 6, after he was struck by an SUV in the 5200 block of Old Walkertown Road.
He has been identified by the police as 23-year-old Austin Reid Arrington, of Terrence Knoll Road in Belews Creek.

According to reports, Arrington was working traffic control in the westbound lanes of Old Walkertown Road around 1.35 p.m on Thursday, before the tragedy.
Police says, Arrington was holding a stop/slow sign, signalling for the driver of a 2002 Mazda Tribute to stop.
The driver of the SUV identified as Paris Anjuli Pinnix, 32, of Summit Street in Walnut Cove who was driving but for unknown reasons did not stop, says the police.
Arrington sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The 5200 block of Old Walkertown Road was closed for about four hours due to the accident by the police.
The tragedy is recorded as the 12th motor-vehicle fatality in the city this year
Investigation is still ongoing.
