Barry Schrader Death | Barry Schrader Obituary – News has gotten to us that the former @Daily_Chronicle editor, columnist and newspaperman has passed on. Barry Schrader died at the age of 79 on Tuesday afternoon, 30th of June 2020 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He founded the DeKalb County Press and purchased the Sycamore True Republican and the Sycamore Tribune, and then sold his share of the county press to head to southern California to work on the San Bernadino Sun in 1966.
Barry later worked as an editor of the Livermore Herald from 1967 to 1969 before going back to his roots in DeKalb as editor of the Daily Chronicle from 1969 to 1972. This report is in line with the post made by Kelsey Rettke (@K_Rettke) on the 30th of June 2020.
