BJ Eaton Death | Obituary – BJ Eaton age 44 sadly passed away due to complications from COVID-19. Bj was a longtime employee of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
BJ Eaton, a wife, mother of two children and administrative assistant with the WCSO since 2006, died this week.
Eaton leaves behind a husband and two adult children.
Wayne County Sheriff Shane Fisher said Eaton was a lifelong friend to many, including himself.
“She was a blessing to many people…a special, Godly woman who will be missed and her friends always cherished,” Sheriff Fisher said.

Eaton was the longest-tenured employee of the sheriff’s office and to say that her death is devastating, “is an understatement.”
“Truly a great loss to your sheriff’s office and to our community as a whole,” the Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook. “BJ will be profoundly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Let us remember her as the kind soul she was and think of all the wonderful times we had.”
Memorial services have not yet been announced. The WCSO is closed through Friday.
