World lost a great one yesterday. Way too soon! A great basketball player, the Winchester GOAT, but an even better man. Honored to call Bob Bigelow a friend and mentor. The best with kids and always made the bday parties for mine. Miss him dearly. #legend. pic.twitter.com/yLC4OmUvgO

Was saddened to learn this afternoon of Bob Bigelow’s passing. Played against his team’s in summer baseball back in HS and was always a class act. Then got to hear him speak at a panel event here in Wellesley a couple of years back, such a champion for youth sports. RIP

#RIP Bob Bigelow -a 1st round NBA pick from my hometown of #WinchesterMA and a friend since I was a little 7th grader tenaciously trying to steal the ball from him at our Jr. High school – he loved it.

Sorry to hear of the death of Bob Bigelow, who, as Mike Lynch points out, was so much more than a former Celtic.

I was fortunate enough to get to know Bob Bigelow well during my career, and always appreciated his words of advice. Very sad to hear of his passing. The Massachusetts basketball family has lost a great one.
