Death & Obituary: Alexis Lashey Steele died at the age of 23 on November 29, 2019 after she was taken to Shock Trauma following an accident that happened in the morning of Friday in the Middle River area.
Lashey Steele passed away leaving behind, her 3-year-old son who was a passenger in the vehicle. The child was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The Bowleys Quarters mother was killed and her 3-year-old son was injured in a five-car crash early Friday morning in the Middle River area.
Baltimore County police said officers were called around 12:30 a.m. to Eastern Boulevard near White Marsh Boulevard, where a Honda Element traveling west sideswiped another vehicle, then veered across the median, hitting a Toyota Corolla traveling east head-on.
“There were three vehicles coming towards him. He hit the first one head-on, and that was the vehicle that the mother and child were in,” Baltimore County police Officer Jennifer Peach said. “After he hit that vehicle, he hit two other vehicles. The drivers and occupants of those vehicles only suffered minor injuries,” Peach said.
Alexis was pronounced dead at Shock Trauma where she was taken to after the accident.
