Phaneuf and Voss sacrificed their lives serving United States and the world and “we are forever grateful for their services,” Feltes tweeted.
Other dignitaries who sent out a word on the death of the two U.S. Air Force Officers includes Secretary of the Air Force, Barbara Barrett, and Chief of Staff of USA Air Force, Gen. Dave Goldfein.
“We send our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of Lt Col Paul K. Voss & Capt Ryan S. Phaneuf, who lost their lives in an E-11A crash in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan. Let their legacy of service and ultimate sacrifice be an enduring example for each of us,” Dave Goldfein said in a Wednesday tweet.
