Carlos Henríquez Death | Carlos Henríquez Obituary – According to a tweet made by WLRN Public Media (@WLRN) on the 11th of August 2020, Carlos Henríquez has died. According to reports, Carlos Henríquez contacted the virus because of the incompetence of the Salvador government. His problem started in early March chaos at the El Salvador International Airport in San Salvador. The Salvadoran government was taking tough lockdown measures against the new coronavirus, and Salvadorans returning home from abroad were taken to quarantine to make sure they weren’t infected. But instead the armed soldiers took them to places where they were more likely to be infected.
Carlos Jr. says his father was healthy when he arrived from Guatemala. Reports says Henríquez sent his family pleading texts to “get me out of here” because he was quarantined alongside people returning from places like Europe; which at that time was being ravaged by COVID-19.
As expected, Henríquez himself was soon infected and eventually needed a ventilator to breathe. He was transferred from one hospital to another. But his family were kept largely in the dark as they kept trying to locate him. As soon as they’d establish communication with a doctor in one facility, Henríquez would be inexplicably moved to another. They lost contact with Henríquez in April when his cell phone was somehow seized from him during another hospital transfer. The family found out later that Henríquez’s suffered a collapsed lung and his kidneys eventually failed. He died April 22.

Hope shattered for Carlos Henríquez as he tried to return home to his family in South Florida. Instead the 67-year-old died in a quarantine center.
