Carol Chaoui Death | Carol Chaoui Obituary – In reference to a tweet made on the 5th of August 2020 by Runner’s World (@runnersworld), Carol Chaoui has died at the age of 56. Carol Chaoui was a passionate runner who used her favorite sport to fundraise vast sums for cancer research. She died of metastatic breast cancer on the 3rd of August 2020.
In 2009, Chaoui, who lived in Wellesley, Massachusetts, was first diagnosed with breast cancer. She found out she had thyroid cancer in 2014, and according to her obituary, both cancers metastasized in 2015. Through years of treatments, she ran dozens of races and raised money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She established a turkey trot in Wellesley in 2015, and she also began a fashion show as a way to fund cancer research. In all, her fundraising exceeded $600,000.
