Central Oregon Woman’s Death – Nicole G. Jakubek Age 54 death was declared a murdered case.
Ore. – Police have identified a woman found dead Monday morning – and launched a murder investigation.
“This case is now an active murder investigation,” the sheriff’s office said Tuesday. “Detectives have been working this case since yesterday and last night were granted a search warrant for the residence and property.”
“Her family has been notified and our thoughts are with them during this extremely difficult time,” the sheriff’s office said.
Authorities have located a suspect, but not yet identified him.
“A suspect in this case has been identified and is in police custody. He was arrested outside of Deschutes County overnight and is currently being held on unrelated charges,” the sheriff’s office said. “His identity is not being released at this time to ensure the integrity of the investigation.”
