Charlie was a valued member of our Board of Directors for the past four years. According to Board President Gordon Galvan, “Charlie Gilcrest was tireless in his efforts to support the people and causes he believed in.”
According to his obituary, Charlie was also active in the community in a variety of ways, including his past service as a board member of the Davis Street Community Center, the City of San Leandro’s Human Services Commission, Board of Zoning Adjustments, the City of San Leandro’s Joint Project Area Redevelopment Advisory Committee, the Business Association of South San Leandro, and the Halcyon-Foothill Neighborhood Association.
