Cody Allen Schmidt Death – The victim of the west Sioux Falls homicide has been identified by the authorities as 30-year-old Cody Allen Schmidt, from Sioux Falls.
According to Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Josh Phillips, Cody was found dead with gunshots wounds in a ditch on Monday morning, August 3, near Wall Lake.

Phillips continues by saying an autopsy was being conducted Tuesday morning.
So far, no arrest have been made.
Phillips said:
“We are looking for any tips possible in regards to the whereabouts of Cody Allen Schmidt over the last several days. Anything that the public might have pertinent to suspicious activity or anything Cody may have been doing that can help us in this investigation.”
