Corbin Henry Death | Corbin Henry Obituary – Corbin Henry age 15 has been identified as the victim shot and killed on Saturday night.
Officers responded to the scene on the 1500 block of W. 5th Avenue around 10:30 Saturday night and reportedly found Henry dead from a single gunshot wound. Corbin Henry was known to be an amazing person he will be greatly missed.
“It was too late. He was too hurt. There wasn’t anything I could do at this point, other than to try to protect him from people trying to film it with their phones. As a mom, I didn’t want another mother to find out their child was hurt that way,” said Siddons.
Witnesses say Henry was riding a moped at the time of the shooting, and Owensboro Police say they found the moped near the victim. Police closed off several blocks of West 5th Street that night. Detectives returned to the area today to recanvass and find more witnesses to interview. One woman who lived near where the shooting originally happened, but wished not to be identified, told us she heard and saw a flash of the gunshot when it happened, and immediately became worried.
“My husband was out here and I thought he had been shot when I heard that. He comes in and tells me to call the police. Of course, I was already calling the police,” she recalled.
