A fatal crash happened early Tuesday morning on Southwest Miami-Dade which claimed the lives of 3 people.
The victims were identified as a Creative Learning Center teacher Karina Diaz, her husband 51-year-old Adalberto Hernandez Cereijo, and her 75-year-old mother Elena Chacon Diaz.
Investigations shows that, a Range Rover driven by 24-year-old Rodney Rodriguez struck the silver Kia conveying Diaz, her mother and husband while he was trying to make a turn.
Diaz and Husband were said to be driving her mother to dialysis treatment before the accident happened.
According to the police, an officer tried to stop Rodriguez of over speeding Land Rover as he sped off the Palmetto Expressway and onto Sunset Drive, instead he kept going westbound and struck the Kia.
Rodriguez has not been charged as at the time this post is being made. He was transferred to Kendall Regional Medical Center and underwent a surgery.

A GoFundMe page has been set to lessen the burden for her Karina’s daughter Betty. According to the page, “Ms. Karina was a beloved teacher for our toddlers at The Creative Learning Center who tragically lost her life on Tuesday, August 31st along with her husband and mother.”

Records shows that Rodney Rodriguez has history being arrested for traffic offenses which includes careless driving.
