Dallas Bahn Death – Obituary, Funeral, Cause Of Death
So I don’t know who needs to hear this. I normally never write a post because I am not comfortable writing my thoughts publicly but I felt a needs to clear the air. First, I never publicly acknowledge those who have been there for me in the thick of it all. When I started this transition and life-changing events I realize the importance of self-preservation and who I am in life and how certain people come into your life for important things, like your purpose and process. I have experienced a lot of losses and gains in the last 6 months.
Just today I lose a Navy friend who I never got the chance to tell him how much of an amazing person he was to many people and his Navy family (RIH) Dallas Bahn. This goes to show how we need to reach out more to those people who we just like in their posts.
Life has shown me recently who I need to value and the importance of friendship. I recently learned that you shouldn’t let someone just make you a friend if they never earned that title in your life. I even thought my family would be understanding and rooting for me and strangely and painfully some of them failed and defaulted to self-gratification while others who I didn’t consider arose and supported me with undoubting love.
As I reflect on all of this while preparing to leave North America. I am truly grateful for those family members and friends who never promised me anything but have given me much more. I am grateful for the family members who just wanted time with me without constraints or selfish gratification and grateful for my student’s new and old and relationships I built with former coworkers and new family members. I am grateful for understanding and peace.
This transition has been long and stressful and it is definitely not over but God has truly shown me patience and the value of a moment. This delay has also allowed me the time I needed to spend with those people I love. It also has allowed me time to process all the stuff I put on the back burner and listen to myself and others. (FYI) You never know whose watching your life story or who is praying and rooting for you, even if they don’t understand your journey.
My intentional prayer today first, is for God to bless you those people with their heart desires and to let happiness and peace become their heart song. As for those who decided to walk, leave, depart my life thank you first lol and that includes siblings, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends. I pray the same prayer for you. I also pray that God shows up in those broken places in your life and gives you the healing you need.
See my mother and grandmother always told me to bless those who curse you, bless those who hurt you, and celebrate your release from their life because God is making room for something better. I truly believe that. I know this is a long post and I know that most unimportant people won’t read it (IDC) those who do, I hope you understand how much you have impacted my life and how truly thankful I am for you.
