Danny Ichon Death | Danny Ichon Obituary – Danny Ichon, 45, farmer, was a suspected drug personality was killed after he drew his gun and fired at the arresting officers during the buy-bust operation in Barangay Jubas, Libagon town in Southern Leyte on the 21st of August 2020. Danny Ichon was also a resident of Barangay Bato 2, Maasin City in Southern Leyte. Prior to the shooting, an undercover operative was able to buy four sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu worth P4,000 and Colt caliber .45 pistol in consideration to P12,000. The suspect was rushed to Sogod District hospital for immediate medical treatment but was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Leoncio Mato, the attending physician.
According to SunStar, the police recovered at the scene of the Crime; one caliber .22 pistol loaded with magazine with one live ammunition, one MK2 hand grenade inside the bag covered with the suspect’s clothing, and three fired cartridge cases that are yet to be determined by the ballistician.
Reports says that during the body search, police also seized 16 pieces of P1,000 bills consisting of one genuine with serial number KH719774 and 15 pieces of boodle money, P120 cash in different denominations, and two sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves placed inside a matchbox. The inventory of confiscated items at the crime scene and body search of the suspect were conducted in the presence of barangay officials and a media representative, according to the police.
