Dante Carlor Death | Obituary – Dante Carlor age who was visiting a friend in Boston Sunday afternoon when he was gunned down and killed, family said Tuesday.
According to a Boston police department press release, officers responded to a call reporting a shooting in the area of 46 Wildwood St. in Dorchester around 4:42 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Upon arrival, officers found two teen victims with apparent gunshot wounds. Both were rushed to local hospitals, where they were later pronounced dead.
Carlor was in Boston visiting the other teen when they were both gunned down, his aunt, Jerelle Spencer, told MassLive.
“This is the story of him being in the wrong place, at the wrong time,” said Spencer. “He wasn’t from Boston. He’s from out here. All he was known for was playing basketball.”
On Tuesday, Boston police identified Carlor and 17-year-old K’Shaun Webster, of Dorchester, as the victims.
Carlor, whose nickname was “Chop,” was going to turn 17 on Aug 25.
Spencer recalled him as teen that was happy, lovable and energetic.
“He wasn’t gang affiliated. He hung with his friends all the time. They were known to go play basketball and he was known to just start jokes. He wasn’t out here fighting, none of that. He was a regular 16-year-old kid, being a kid,” Spencer said.
We express our sympathy and deepest condolences to Dante Carlor’s family today and in the days, weeks, months, and years that are to come as they cope with his passing. May his soul rest in peace.
