David Angyal Death | David Angyal Obituary – On the 9th of August 2020, David Angyal a member of the Catawba Island Volunteer Fire Department passed on. David Angyal was a Volunteer Firefighter who died while off duty. David served the Catawba Island Volunteer Fire Department for four years and was extremely knowledgeable about small engines and generators, as he was a master Generac mechanic and owned his own local generator service business.
Reports says that David’s wife, Arlene, is also a very active volunteer with the Catawba Island Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. David cared greatly for the CIVFD and his community. He recently purchased and donated several new items to the department including quick access hydrant bags and ratcheting hydrant wrenches. We will truly miss David’s smile and laugh. There are no services scheduled at this time. Please keep Arlene and David’s friends, family, and fellow firefighters in your thoughts and prayers. May his soul find eternal peace.
