David Humphries Death | David Humphries Obituary – David Humphries a former player of Leicestershire County Cricket Club has sadly passed away. Though best remembered as a wicket keeper batsman for Worcestershire, his first professional cricket was with Leicestershire. David first played at Lord’s in the showpiece young cricketer game between the English Schools Cricket Association and the Public Schools in 1971. By then though he was playing successfully for Shropshire in the Minor Counties Championship.

According to the tweet from Leicestershire CCC on the 23rd of July 2020, In all the matches he played for various teams for the club, David scored almost 3,000 runs and dismissed almost 150 batsman. He was part of the Under 25 team’s victory in the ‘Warwick Pool’ competition in 1975. His top first class score was 62 not out, sharing an unbeaten partnership with Roger Tolchard of 111.
