Dennis McGorty Death | Dennis McGorty Obituary – Dennis McGorty age 57 has been identified as the victim who committed suicide while police attempted to arrest him on child porn charges. During a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Forest Trail near the San Angelo Dog Park, McGorty “exited his vehicle, walked to the front the vehicle, and shot himself,” according to Sgt. Justin Baker, DPS spokesman.
An indictment, filed in the Northern District of Texas on Wednesday, charged McGorty with distributing and receiving child pornography and material containing child pornography. The material was shipped through a computer.
The indictment listed children, both boys, and girls, as young as 9 and up to 17 years old from different countries, including Russia, Malaysia, and Asia, according to the indictment.
