Devante Bryant Death – The shooting that occurred in Seventh Ward on Monday, July 13, has left tears in the eyes of so many.
A 9-year-old boy identified as Davonte Bryant, popularly called D-man, and 2 teens were involved in a shooting, in the 2100 block of Pauger Street around 5 p.m., says the New Orleans Police Department.

Shaun Ferguson, New Orleans Police Supt. reports that Bryant, died at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head. A 13-year-old was shot in the leg and a 15/16-year-old was shot in the stomach.
According to Bryant’s father, he was going to be 10 at the end of the month.
Police reports that the suspect opened fire on the three victims after approaching them by foot.
An image of a white, two-door jeep Wrangler was later released by the police. It is believed that the vehicle might be the gateway vehicle used after the shooting.
According to Investigators no license plate was on the vehicle at the time of the incident and was occupied by three people in dark clothing, hoodies and face masks.
In Ferguson’s words: “This is a very active investigation,” he said. “This is the very beginning stages of the investigation.”
According to official reports, the teens are in stable condition.
According to Ferguson, “I am pleading with you, the community, to come forward with any information. We do not want any street justice. We do not want any more blood on our streets.”
