Tipson’s Mayor Don Havens has passed away. Don Havens died Friday, December 13, 2019 at the age of 74.
Cause of Death: Havens died of Crohn disease at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. The community of Tipton is mourning the death of Mayor Don Havens.
Havens passed away this week after a long battle with Crohn’s disease.
Staff members in the mayor’s office said Havens had been in the hospital for a couple of weeks.
“Janet and I were deeply saddened to learn about Don’s passing. He was an incredible public servant who was dedicated to ensuring his hometown was the kind of community where you would want to raise a family and grow a business. We ask that all Hoosiers join us in offering prayers and condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Mayor Don.”
