Donna Marie Daly Nisson Death | Donna Marie Daly Nisson Obituary – The Shasta County Coroner’s Office has identified one of the two victims who were killed in a two-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon, 14th of August 2020 in Shasta County as Donna Marie Daly Nisson, 63, of Redding. The fatal head-on crash happened at about 2:38 p.m., on the 14th of August 2020, on Highway 299 near Buckhorn Summit. According to the police reports, a Toyota Camry, driven by Daly, was headed eastbound on the highway when, for undetermined reasons, it crossed into the oncoming lanes. On a sweeping right turn, it collided with a Ford F150 pickup.

According to PacificAttorneyGroup, after the collision, both vehicles caught fire, and the flames started a vegetation fire on the right-hand shoulder. Sadly, Daly who had been the Trinity County district attorney for nearly a year, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Ford’s driver, Terry Hugh Hitchcock, 67, of Anderson, was also killed in the crash. More details about the accident were not immediately available. The crash remains under investigation.
