Doug Diamond Death | Doug Diamond Obituary – Reports says that 58-year-old Doug Diamond, of Tualatin Oregon was shot and killed by a police officer at a Clackamas County RV park. Investigators have identified Doug Diamond as the man who was shot and killed by a police officer at a Clackamas County RV park on the 3rd of July 2020. The sheriff’s sergeant who was also injured during the shooting has been identified as well.
According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement was called out on reports of a “suicidal subject” at the Mt. Hood Village RV Park along Highway 26. Deputies and a crisis negotiator started talking to 58-year-old Doug Diamond, of Tualatin Oregon. During that time, Clackamas County Sheriff’s Sergeant Sean Collinson and officers from the Sandy Police Department also arrived at the scene.
“As the situation evolved, deputies began to issue verbal commands to Mr. Diamond, who refused to comply,” the sheriff’s office said. “A less-than-lethal shotgun was used, as well as a Taser, but neither were effective in subduing Diamond.”
At one point, deputies and officers tried to take Diamond into custody and then he pulled out a handgun, pointing it at the sheriff’s sergeant. Authorities said that Officer Michael Boyes, who has been with the department for four months, then shot Diamond and Sgt. Collinson. Diamond was pronounced dead at the scene. Sgt. Collinson was taken to the hospital with injuries to his arm and finger.
