We had some of the best times as senior house officers in Nottingham in 1991-1993. Neil was a very popular; he was amongst the brightest of so many doctors and a fantastic clinician. It was great to catch up with him at the BSC. Condolences to his family ?

This is an absolute tragedy, Neil was one of my mentors in Wythenshawe Hospital. Absolute gentleman, great teacher and amazing clinician, electrophysiologist- always empathetic towards his patients. Great loss to cardiology in particular and to humanity in general. RIP Neil

What a devastating loss to so many. I’ve been a consultant colleague of Neil’s for the best part of 2 decades and was reminded just this week of what a great doctor he was. Such a reassuring bedside manner talking to a young frightened patient on CTCCU. Thoughts with his family x

That is really sad- he was my registrar at the Freeman in the late 90’s. More recently he helped us start Schwartz rounds at wythenshawe. Lovely colleague and friend

Although I only worked with him for a few months he was very welcoming, giving me words of encouragement and support.
Clearly well loved by colleagues and patients.
