Dr Richard Morrin Acheson Death | Dr Richard Morrin Acheson Obituary – Dr Richard Morrin Acheson an Emeritus Fellow has been pronounced dead in a tweet made by The Queen’s College (@QueensCollegeOx) on the 10th of July 2020. Dr Acheson was a lecturer and then Fellow in Chemistry at Queen’s from 1953 until his retirement in 1986. He died on the 4th of July 2020 at the age of 95.
Dr Richard Morrin Acheson was a member of the Royal Society and the American Chemical Society, and was awarded the H.A. Iddles from 1966 to 1977, for achievement in chemical research, from the University of New Hampshire, USA. Dr Acheson held the distinction of being the first recipient from outside the USA.
