Dr Rosalyn Ing Death | Dr Rosalyn Ing Obituary – Dr Rosalyn Ing has been reported dead. Dr Rosalyn Ing was an Elder of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation. Dr. Ing earned her PhD in Educational Studies at UBC and worked supporting Indigenous students for many years. Through her studies and advocacy over the years, Dr. Ing brought attention to the negative impacts of Indian Residential Schools on First Nations individuals and communities. She herself attended one for 11 years.
According to reports, She would later participate in the work of Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. In 2012, she received the Queen’s Jubilee Diamond medal for her exemplary work in Indigenous education and community contributions. These are but a few of her many accomplishments.
