Happy Valley Chase – According to the authorities, an early morning chase of a suspect in Happy Valley ended with the suspect crashing and hiding in some berry bushes.
The suspect who was identified as a 34-year-old Travis Byrd was arrested after the chase before 3 am on Thursday, says officials.

Travis Byrd, was being pulled over on Highway 273 by an officer for driving under the influence when he speedily drove off to what later became a chase.
Officers had to terminate the pursuit due to highway speeds and risk to the public as Byrd was driving into oncoming traffic on Canyon Road.
Minutes later, Travis Byrd’s car was seen crashed near Happy Valley Road and Triple S Drive, after searching the wooded area, Byrd was found in the berry bush, says the deputies.
Byrd is currently on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) out of Shasta County for trying to evade a peace officer while driving recklessly. According to records, Byrd was released from prison January 2020 for same charge.
Authorities says he is likely to face new charges on this again since he is still on probation after being released.
