74-year-old Edmund Erickson of Sandwich, Illinois was pronounced dead at the scene of accident that happened at Route 126 and Ridge Road.
Edmund died on Sunday, November 24, 2019 after being involved in a vehicle crash.
State police said a preliminary investigation determined Erickson’s semi-trailer was heading east on Route 126 when it entered the intersection at Ridge Road after the traffic light turned red.
A Dodge Dakota heading south through the intersection on Ridge was struck by the semi, seriously injuring the driver and passenger. The semi then rolled into a Nissan Sentra that was also stopped at the red light.
