Elizabeth Gurrola Death | Elizabeth Gurrola Obituary – Elizabeth Gurrola, 24, was killed by blunt trauma to her head and neck, according to the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office. The Reno Police Department says on the same day Gurrola was found dead, a California Highway Patrol car in Susanville stopped a car for traffic violations in the area of US-395 southbound and Hall Road. Officials said Highway Patrol officers recognized the driver as Jesus Padilla and he was acting suspiciously. They said officers became concerned Padilla may have been involved in a violent crime in the Reno area.
According to News2 report, the California Highway Patrol asked for help from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and the Reno Police Department. Officials said Reno Police found a crime scene in the 3600 block of Grant Drive in Reno, where they found Gurrola dead. They said Gurrola was an associate of Padilla. The police believes that Padilla killed Gurrola a few hours prior to the traffic stop. Officials said they don’t believe anyone else is involved in the crime. Padilla was booked at the Lassen County Sheriff’s Department for homicide and a DUI. He is pending extradition to Reno.
