Alexander Brown and Kadeem Featherson Arrest – The crash involving a Forsyth County deputy’s patrol car that happened in the northbound lanes of U.S. 52 near Mile Marker 105 at about 2:20 p.m was caused by a suspect who was involved in a police chase Wednesday afternoon. Two men have been arrested to this effect.

The suspect were being chased by the sheriff’s office and a K9 before the crash.

The suspects were identified as Alexander Brown, 31, of Charlotte and Kadeem Featherson, 29, of Charlotte.

According to investigation, the chase started when Brown attempted to flee after a deputy pulled him over for violation of auto law. The chase ended when Brown’s car struck a deputy’s vehicle  leaving the deputy injured.

The head-on involved a second patrol vehicle and three civilian vehicles, the injured deputy alongside one civilian were taken to a hospital for treatment, although the deputy’s injuries were not life-threatening. It was also noted that the K9 involved in the crash was not injured.

For more than five hours, the road was closed while authorities commenced investigations and cleaned up.

According to the deputies, a sizeable amount of marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, crack cocaine, a stolen firearm and $567.00 in cash were seized from the Brown’s vehicle.

Brown was later arrested and charged with felony flee to elude with a motor vehicle; misdemeanor resisting a public officer; felony possession of firearm by felon; felony possession of a weapon of mass destruction; felony possession of a stolen firearm; felony possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana; felony possession of marijuana; felony possession with intent to sell or distribute cocaine; felony possession of cocaine; two felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine; felony possession with intent to sell or distribute a controlled Schedule II substance; felony possession of methamphetamine; felony possession of a controlled Schedule IV substance; misdemeanor possession of a controlled Schedule IV substance; misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia; and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

He was taken to the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center where he is being held on $250,000 bail

The second suspect identified as Kadeem Featherson, a 29-year-old man also from Charlotte was arrested and charged with felony possession of firearm by felon; felony possession of a weapon of mass destruction; felony possession of a stolen firearm; misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun; felony trafficking methamphetamine; felony possession with intent to sell or distribute a controlled substance; felony possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana; felony possession of marijuana; felony possession with intent to sell or distribute cocaine; felony possession of cocaine; felony possession of methamphetamine; felony possession of a controlled Schedule IV substance; misdemeanor possession of a controlled Schedule IV substance; misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia; and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

He was taken to Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center.

Featherson is being held without bail.

They will both be due in court on the 16th of July, 2020.
