Franklin County fatal shooting | Victims Identified – One Person Dead – According to WDBJ7 on the 14th of July 2020, Franklin County fatal shooting leaves one dead and the other in critical condition. The Sheriff Office has identified the victims of the shooting.
Justin Chase Prillaman, 20 of Henry, VA, was dead at the scene. Matthew Prillaman, 18 of Henry, VA, remains in the hospital for treatment. The shooting happened around 4:20 a.m. at a home along Salthouse Branch Road in the Henry Community Tuesday.
The victims were two brothers that lived at the duplex-style house with their grandparents. Neighbors said the violence is surprising. This is less than a mile away from a popular camping spot along Philpott Lake. Investigators warned neighbors to stay alert and be on the lookout for suspicious activity as they worked to identify a suspect.
